This week, July 3, 2011, my pastor talked about a vision the Lord has given him.  It is all backed up with scripture too.  Gen. 2:1o: Now a river went out of Eden (Delight), to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.

The name of the first river is Pishon (increase) spiritual visions, increase in the anointing.  The name of the second river is Gihon (bursting forth).  The name of the third river is Hiddekel (Tigris, rapids), for only those who are watching.  The name of the fourth river is Euphrates (fruitfulness), anointing, power, glory.  The rivers in Genesis are a foreshadowing of the Holy Spirit, and His workings.

This is the river of increase:                                                                                                                                                 Noah and the Flood:  Gen. 7:4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.  Gen. 7:10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.

This is the river of bursting forth:                                                                                                                               (v.11) All the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.  (v.12) And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.  (v.17) Now the flood was on the earth forty days.  The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.  Gen. 7:18-20  The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters.

This is the river of rapids:                                                                                                                                                  And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.  The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.   (v.24) And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.

(v.8:4)  Then the ark rested in the seventh month on the mountain. (v.8) Besides the raven, Noah sent out a dove, who if he found no appropriate resting place would return to it’s former resting place, and so it returned.

This is the river of fruitfulness:  (v.10 & 11)  And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark.  And the dove returned with an Olive tree leaf in it’s mouth.
