Have you ever thought about the fact that you are the righteousness of God in Christ?  This is a concept that is very hard for us to understand and get into our spirit.  That God would take our sins and put all of them on Jesus, on the cross, and take Jesus righteousness and put it on us.  How amazing is that?  First of all, that God would send Jesus to die to redeem us, buy us back from death and separation from Him, and then that Jesus would actually come and give His life for us.

God cannot be in the presence of sin.  He is a perfect God who hates sin.  Yet He loved us so much that He couldn’t stand to lose us.  And so,  He made a plan, a plan to buy us back from Satan.  He gave the life of His perfect Son to redeem us.  And at the moment of Jesus’ death, God threw our sins away as far as the East is from the West, never to be remembered again.  And He put the righteousness of Jesus on us.  We are washed as clean as Perfect is clean.  For God so loved the world, (that is us), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

According to E. W. Kenyon, righteousness is the ability to stand and even live in the presence of the Father without condemnation, inferiority, or guilt of any kind.  To stand before the throne of God and not be afraid, to love Him as our true father and accept His love in return.  Remember, He loved us first, while we were still in our sins, He redeemed us while we were still covered with the stain and stench of sin.

The moment that we take Jesus as our Savior, we are washed clean and are made brand new creations.  We are not just cleaned up, but are made into new, never before seen upon the earth, creations.  The old man is gone forever!  At this time, we are made the righteousness of God.  We are His righteousness, we are in right standing with God.

When we sin we lose our sense of righteousness and cannot stand before God without shame, but as we ask for forgiveness, Jesus intervenes for us, with the Father, and returns our righteousness to us and we are justified, or made just, before God.

Is there anything better?  Thank You Lord, for Your amazing love!
