This Sunday our Pastor talked about our strength in the Lord.  I have read about who I am in the Lord many times as I read my Bible, but It never really sank into my mind.  She wanted us to understand that God lives in us, and therefore we can do anything because we have the strength of God and the power of God living in us.  It is God’s Holy Spirit that lives in us, God’s actual Spirit.   She started by reading (Psalm 46:1-2). ” God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”.  Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.   Wow!  We are not to be afraid while the earth is convulsing around us.  That is a pretty awesome statement.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”,  (Philip.4:13).

(Isaiah 41:10 ) Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you.  Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

(2 Corinthians 5:21 ) “For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”  Jesus was made sin for us.  God put all the sins of the world on Jesus so that He could put rightness upon us.  We are covered with the blood of Jesus because of the sacrifice He made for us, to save us.  When God looks at us, He sees us through the filter of the blood and we are clean before Him.  We can approach His throne and talk with Him because of the blood Jesus shed.

(2 Corinthians 9:8)  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you , always having all-sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work…

(Mark  16:15-18)  And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he what believeth not shall be damned.  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;  they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

God has given us mighty power if we believe.  We actually have the Spirit what raised Jesus from the dead living in us, and He has great power.  We can do anything God wills.  The believer is powerful only as long as he believes and follows our Lord.  We must obey Him and obey quickly when He tells us to do something.  Let us truly follow our Lord and surrender to his call.

If the church could only get this into our spirits, the nations would belong to the Lord, for we would go out with such great power that the people would be amazed and fear, and believe in the Lord!

If our Lord and Savior invited us to a great supper, would we go or would we invent excuses not to attend?  Think about why you would be hesitant to attend. Would you be too tired or lazy to attend?  Would you think you had plenty of time until the end, and would therefore not feel the urgency to attend?  Or do you not even believe there is a God, and so would not think it was a real invitation.

(Luke 14: 16)  A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, “Come, for all things are now ready.”  But they all with one accord began to make excuses.  The first said, “I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it.  I ask you to have me excused.”  Another said, “I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them.  I ask you to have me excused.”  And another said, ” I have married a wife, and therefore cannot come”.

Why did not these who were invited want to come to the dinner?  I think sometimes we are just to lazy to follow-up on our commitments.  We would rather just sit at home and relax.  This has happened to me.  I have committed to something, but when the time arrives, I just am not in the mood.  I don’t want to put out the energy to do the thing.  And sometimes I disappoint people by my laziness.  I use every excuse I can think of, and I probably miss out on a great time because of it.  Even though these people had legitimate things to do, they could have put them off easily until the next day, and why could not the married man bring his wife to the supper?

The thing is, that the Lord is talking about the very important supper that His chosen people, the Jews, were invited to.  The Jews were His beloved people and therefore were special to Him.  He wanted to abide with them, to fellowship with them, but they would not obey his laws and they did not want to draw close to Him.   In some cases, they were afraid because they might be in disobedience.

The master was very angry and told his servants to go out and invite everyone who would come from all over the city.  This included the poor, the lame , the blind.  The servants even went out to the highways and hedges to compel them to come in, so that his house would be filled with guests for the supper.

Because His chosen people would not accept Him and come, He invited us, the gentiles, the lost and hopeless ones.  And the house was filled.

The Lord is giving us a chance to come to Him during the period of His grace.  Don’t be left out in the cold while so many are in the house, warm and safe, and eating supper with our Lord!

Hallelujah !   Thank You, Lord

Tonight, while we were praying and worshiping the Lord, at church, I had a vision about Israel.  We have been warned lately that millions of Islamic forces are planning to attack Israel, from all directions, on May 15th of this year.  I have been praying for Israel, that our Lord would intervene and pour His precious blood over all of the people in Israel to protect them.  The vision was of the Lord’s blood.  It was so thick, running down the streets.  The blood of our Lord was everywhere, every street, just running.  It was so bright and red that the light from the sky reflected it and made the whole sky over Israel look pink, and the air all the way to the ground was also pink from the reflection of the Lord’s blood.

God said when the forces from other countries, the enemy, come to attack from all directions, they will see the blood.  God said it was just like the blood that was spread on the doorposts in Egypt during passover.  The death angel passed over the doors where the blood was and the people were saved.    And God said that when the enemy sees the pink sky and the blood everywhere, they will became afraid and turn and ran away.  The panic will be great and the troops will be very frightened, so frightened in fact that some of them will go insane from fear.  Because of the fear, the soldiers will scatter with no discipline and will not obey orders.  At the same time the warmachines will not work, and everyone will get their orders scrambled.  This will cause great chaos and the armies will turn upon themselves and each other.

Dear Lord, let it be so.  Protect your people Israel, your beloved people!

Your Friend

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.  (Matthew 24:14)  The word ‘gospel’ means ‘good news’. ‘ And this good news will be preached.’  Why do people not take it as good news?  The ‘gospel of the kingdom’ is the best news that has ever been heard.  The news is that the kingdom of God has come down to earth, in the form of Jesus, the anointed of God, and that he has paid the price for every sin or mistake that we have ever made or will ever make.  Did you hear that?  He has paid the price and because of that, we are forgiven.

When the people would come into the temple in Jerusalem, they would bring a perfect, unspotted, lamb as a sacrifice for their sins.  In the ceremony, the man would put his hand on the head of the lamb to transfer his sins to the lamb.  At this time the purity of the lamb would be transferred, symbolically, to the man.  Then the lamb would be sacrificed, or killed, and it’s blood spilled out.  The lamb was killed because of the sin upon it.  The reason this sacrifice was made,  is because we can never be perfect before a perfect God.

God hates sin and His wrath is great against it.  Jesus came to earth as our perfect lamb.  All the terrible wrath which God had against sin was  directed at and put upon Jesus on the cross.  Jesus took the wrath of God in our place and because of that, God transferred Jesus’ purity onto us.  We are forgiven, pure, and holy before God because of the blood and voluntary death of our Lord Jesus.

Whether you are a follower of Jesus or not, the ‘Kingdom of God’  is upon you.  The kingdom is all around you, and it is time to step in and get to know the King.  He has sacrificed everything for you; His very life!  Ask Him if He is real, and He will make Himself known to you.

Question: Have you ever heard of a king who would give his life gladly for the life of his people?  He loves you enough to give His life away, just for you!  He took our death upon Himself, and gave us His life.

hallelujah!  What a Savior!

Matthew 13:31-32, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds: but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in it’s branches.”

When christianity started, it was very small, with Jesus selecting a few men to follow Him.  This small group grew, slowly at first.  When people saw and experienced the miracles of Jesus more began to believe.  The kingdom of heaven was growing.  As Jesus sent His disciples in every direction to preach and heal, the branches of the tree began to spread.  At pentecost, when thousands from many countries believed, the branches spread out farther, as those people took the message home with them.

For hundreds of years missionaries have gone to the ends of the earth and the “church” has spread out like a huge tree with expanding branches.  I believe that the church represents the kingdom of heaven on earth, and it has grown very large, with branches growing out over every nation.  The birds of the air represent the souls that come to the church of Jesus Christ, that are drawn to His protection and healing.  They feel safe and are able to nest and rest in it’s branches.

Oh Lord,  please help us to show genuine love to people who come into the shelter of Your church.  Remind us that we might be the only true believers that these people ever know.  Lord, please draw them by Your love.  Let the kingdom of heaven be clearly seen!

Blessed & Saved!

In the summer of 2009 I was at church during the day, as while Rev. Barry Raeburn was ministering to us for about a year, we held a vigil and prayer every day, for revival.  We had all been praying for some time.  I was praying in warfare and crying  for the town and the people, when suddenly I could see my Lord Jesus.

He was standing right in front of me, not two feet away.  He was crying, and the tears that fell from His eyes were like rain.  And His tears poured down in such big drops and seemed to cover everything.  And as I stood there crying in His presence, He said,”All the tears you have ever cried, I hold in My hand.  But who will hold My tears for this people”?

And I know He was asking,” Who will care enough to say”, “Here am I, Lord, send me”.

At another time, after that, I was at church when Gill Howard Browne was there.  And he was talking about going out on the streets to talk to people about Jesus.  I remember that I was very nervous about going out and talking to people I know, in my own town.  I was praying that God would make me bold give me courage.  When I heard the Lord say to me, “Do you love Me? And I said that I loved Him very much.  And He said, “Do you really love Me?”  “I love these others as much as I love you, and they will be lost if you do not go and tell them that I love them.”

I have prayed many times that none be lost, and so now it is up to me to go out and tell people about the great love of Jesus.  Thank You Lord, for waking me up!

I went to the hour of prayer at church this week.  I was just feeling like I needed to draw close to the Lord, and so I went.  We were deep into intercessory prayer, when suddenly, I saw a vision.  The clouds opened up through a perfectly round hole  that got larger until it was huge.  I could see blue sky above, and angels were standing shoulder to shoulder all around the outside of the circle, at the edge of the hole, which looked like a tube at this point because it went far up into the sky.  The outside of the tube was packed full of angels from the top to the bottom.  I could not see their faces, but they wore long white gowns, and I could see their wings very clearly.  The details in their feathers was beautiful.

Then suddenly, the blue was gone and bright light came blasting through clear to the ground.  It was so bright I couldn’t believe I could look at it without hurting my eyes.  The light shot through the wings of the angels and turned the colors into soft cream and golden yellow, and the light was coming through and separating into rays. I have never seen anything so beautiful!

The vision has not gone away.  I can see it as clearly as before, in my mind.  I remember thinking, “If I only had a camera, I could take a picture and show it to everyone.  It was that clear.

Thank You Lord for this wonderful vision!
